Cliff Vonk is a designer. His work explores motion design↗, identity systems↗, audio design↗, artificial intelligence↗, spatial experience↗, but most importantly; curiosity↗. He likes to think he started off doing graphic design by designing, but in reality his practice started off long before that; as a kid, with poetry and graffiti. He enjoys exploring what it is that makes us human and how we can create digital work inspired by our body and its movement. His work often takes a poetic approach, embracing a ‘poetry first, design second’-mentality.
He is curious about the past, the now and the future, always looking to implement his work into a larger context. He teaches workshops, most recently at Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam, to inspire other creatives to add bespoke type or motion dimensions to their work with (sometimes unconventional) tools. He is currently a student at the Graphic Design department of the Royal Academy of Art (KABK↗). Projects include, but are not limited to, dynamic brand identities↗, motion and audio pairings↗, complex spatial design↗ using projectors, AI-driven creative tools↗, and poetry↗.
He enjoys interdisciplinary collaboration, experimenting, playing and exploring. He hates writing about himself in third person. So; I’d like to invite you for coffee whenever it suits you. If you want to take me up on it: hello@clff.info↗, LinkedIn↗, Instagram↗.
Lastly, I think it's important to:
